I am an SC myself and I do not agree with this. This will only lead to the deterioration of quality education. And they should cap the reservation economically and/or apply a different mechanism to stop its usage like if anyone in your family used it then the next generations should not get the opportunity to use it anymore.
No point in crying about it. None have the balls to restructure the reservation system to actually benefit the ones in need and limit it only to admissions not jobs. Its a tool to get votes and it will only get worse with time.
We must abolish the Reservation system and here are the reasons: 1. Reverse discrimination: Reservation is basically reverse discrimination, where individuals from general category are unfairly disadvantaged based on their caste. 2. Meritocracy: Another argument against Reservation is the belief in meritocracy, where people should be judged based on their abilities, qualifications, and achievements rather than their demographic background.
While I think reservation should be there but there needs to be certain threshold that one should achieve to qualify the examination. Something along the lines of 50-60% of the general cutoff.
If one thing that doesn't need reservation is education. Imagine student asking chemical formula of Water and that MF replies with IDK google it.
